UK Customs Specialist

We are looking for an experienced customs professional to join an internationally recognised luxury brand based in Haywards Heath, Sussex to manage and oversee their customs procedures for the UK and Ireland.

The role

In this newly created customs role you will have the chance to enjoy the next of both worlds: you will be responsible for designing the UK and Ireland’s slick new customs processes and procedures from scratch, but you’ll also be able to feel secure in having the backing of this hugely successful corporation behind you.

You will be fully autonomous, working as part of a customs team of 3 in the UK, fully supported by your international colleagues in Italy.

You’ll be the main point of contact for HMRC and work closely with a variety of stakeholders within the company such as the logistics teams across the partnered brands.

This is a hybrid role, with three days spent in the office in Haywards Heath, Sussex. They’re located right next to the train station, so it is an easy commute from London and the South East.

The future

The future is exciting too. Unlike the majority of in-house roles, this role offers you the chance of real progression. You’ll have the chance to become the Head of Customs for the UK and Ireland once the team has been established.

This is a highly visible role where you will be the go to customs expert for the UK and Ireland.

About you

• 4+ years of experience of working in customs compliance, import and export control
• An in depth knowledge of UK customs laws and regulations
• You’ll be self driven, analytical and conceptual with strong analytical skills
