International Customs Manager

Are you an International Customs and Trade Expert looking to take the next step?

We are looking for an experienced customs professional to join the UK’s largest independent decorators’ merchant to own and manage their international trade function.

The company

This award winning, family owned business has over 200 stores in the UK. They pride themselves on building a sustainable future, by balancing commercial, environmental, and social interests.

The role

You’ll be the company’s go to international trade expert, owning their import & export framework.

You’ll have complete autonomy to ensure compliance with customs & trade regulations across multiple jurisdictions, working with a variety of stakeholders throughout the business.

This recently created role will off you plenty of scope for commercial opportunity & the chance to see your ideas implemented.

By working for an independent business you’ll be able to enjoy the benefit of avoiding some of the bureaucracy & red tape that you often find in listed or PE backed businesses.

This high profile position will see you reporting directly to the FD.

It is a hybrid role with 3 days spent in the office in Eastbourne.

About you

• 5+ years’ experience of working in customs compliance, import and export control
• An in depth knowledge of UK customs laws and regulations
• You’ll be detail-oriented, creative and able to work on your own initiative
