Looking across the Harvey John service lines over the past quarter, placements within public practice remain at a high level.

Firms recruit new team members for a variety of reasons. But, on the whole, the introductions we have secured recently are with firms who are looking to expand their teams.

A number of clients who paused their recruitment, at the start of the first lockdown in Spring 2020, have weathered the storm and kick-started their recruitment processes over the past few months.

If you currently work within practice but are considering making your first move to industry, there are opportunities out there. But, in the current climate with so many candidates with commercial experience on the market, it may not be the best time to make that move.

Developing your skills in a new environment, with new clients within a new firm may be the right move for you at this time. Don’t stay stagnant if there are frustrations at your current firm.

Reassuringly, if you are looking for a new role within the public practice arena, whatever the service line, then the demand is there.
