Tax Semi-Senior l Surrey

It’s not often a Tax Semi-Senior position opens up with a built in plan for this person to eventually lead a team. Of course, there will be training and plenty of professional development on the way, but the plan is, within 3-4 years, you’ll be leading a team of other Tax Semi-Seniors having worked your way up to Manager.

To begin with, you’ll be working on personal tax compliance, with an added twist that you’ll be able to work on cross-border compliance too. The service line isn’t like other firms, as you’ll be dealing with UK and Australian clients. I know for some reading this, might think that time zones will be an issue here. As the firm has a team based in Australia, you don’t need to worry. You’ll most certainly be in a firm that understands the importance of work life balance, and any cross-border work you’ll be doing, will be within you standard day.

For those that are interested, there could be the opportunity to work in Australia at some point. That’s not the plan, but they are very open to the idea if someone wants it further down the line.

Whilst compliance focused, you’ll still be working with clients on complex work. What they need is someone who can hit the ground running, but there is still a plan in place to make sure you’re onboarded properly, and given all the support you need. There are some very technical tax people in the business, and these are colleague that are more than happy to share their knowledge.

What we need from you?

• 3 years of personal tax experience and ATT qualification
• If you have Australian personal tax experience, that’s a plus, but not essential
