Senior Audit Manager

We are hiring for a Senior Audit Manager to join a top 20 chartered accountancy firm in their East Sussex office, based in Lewes.

Having achieved impressive growth over the last 18 months, the audit team is looking to bring in a senior audit manager to facilitate further growth and succession planning. You will be joining a lively and highly focused team who work with a wide range of corporate and not for profit organisations. You will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, planning of the workload, reviewing work, setting budgets and arranging timetables for the team. You will manage and develop client relationships, oversee the training of more junior team members and have involvement in business development, including preparing proposals and attending networking events.

About you:

• You should be ACA or ACCA qualified with some years PQE
• Proven experience in a UK Accountancy Practice
• External audit background,strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
• Existing managerial experience
• First class presentation and communication skills
• Good knowledge of audit and accounting standards
• Keen to get involved with business development and senior internal responsibilities
• Experience of and enthusiasm for working closely with clients in a variety of sectors
