Day-to-day, the role responsibilities include overseeing and enhancing the accurate processing of all purchase ledger transactions, daily management of the purchase ledger and supplier functions including payments, reconciliations and ensuring that internal authorisation procedures are carried out appropriately, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and internal financial regulations and ensuring that specified monthly deadlines are achieved.
The ideal candidate should possess either partial qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or have a relevant degree in the field. They will have experience working within the purchase ledger (accounts payable) of an organisation, supervising other team members, be comfortable with processing bookkeeping transactions, carrying out bank reconciliations and reconciling supplier control accounts. Strong IT skills including MS Word, Excel and bookkeeping software is essential.
A fabulous package is on offer including a salary of up to £35,500, 27 days annual leave + bank holidays and other bonus days during holidays, pension, free parking, lease car scheme and more. The hybrid working set up for this role is 4 days office-based in Bromley and 1 day per week working from home.
