We are working with a well established, multi sited accountancy firm to recruit a part time accounts assistant to work in their office in central Brighton.
The firm is based in modern open plan offices, from which they provide a full range of accounts, tax, audit and payroll services.
This part time accounts assistant role is a newly created position, working to support one of the managers with their growing portfolio of property clients. You will be draughting and preparing service charge accounts, trust tax returns and dormant company accounts. There is also plenty of client contact, dealing with queries and requesting information. You will gain plenty of training and support to develop your skills and knowledge and as the volume of work increases there is scope for career progression.
If you already have some accounts experience, ideally gained in an accountancy practice environment, and are now looking for a flexible part time role where you can continue learning, this is an excellent, rare opportunity.
About you:
- Existing accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Organised, detail minded and self motivated
- Happy to liaise with clients over the phone and by email
- Ideally AAT qualified or studying
- Knowledge of service charge accounting would be a bonus
- Live within commuting distance of Brighton
The role is part time, between 15 and 22 hours per week, ideally working Tuesday to Thursday. On top of the basic salary there is a comprehensive benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work for one of the fastest growing accountancy firms in the South East.
