Global Tax Lead –  VAT/GST Compliance

Are you a VAT/GST expert passionate about global tax compliance? We’re seeking a Global Tax Lead – VAT/GST Compliance to join our client’s high-growth, mission-driven team. In this role, you’ll help scale a cutting-edge VAT & GST compliance engine and directly shape the future of tax technology for international businesses. You’ll play a crucial role in expanding global tax coverage. Your work will drive the development and automation of filing workflows, research cross-border tax rules, and support customers as they expand internationally.

Lead Global VAT/GST Compliance & Automation

• Own VAT/GST filings and registrations across multiple jurisdictions (focus on EMEA, UK, and Canada)
• Partner with engineering to design and automate compliance workflows, including return generation and remittance logic
• Lead legal, tax, and ops efforts to establish in-country tax infrastructure (e.g., fiscal rep roles)
• Collaborate with customers to assess indirect tax exposure and onboard them into compliance workflows

Your International VAT/GST Expertise

• 4-10+ years of international indirect tax experience, especially VAT/GST in regions like the EU, UK, and EMEA
• Experience working with tax engines, ERP integrations, or indirect tax tech platforms
• Strong ability to turn complex tax rules into structured, automated tax logic
• A customer-focused mindset, eager to work directly with clients to help them navigate global tax compliance
