Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

A corporate tax role, for a regional firm, that’s predominantly advisory-based? It’s certainly not common-place, but we’re pleased to have partnered with a high-reputable firm in Surrey. What makes this role different to others, is there isn’t a strict sense of portfolio-management. In fact, the basic level of corporate tax work is undertaken by the accounts team, whilst the more complex, varied projects, will have the expertise of the tax team drawn in!

Why wouldn’t you just go to London? It’s a naive question, we know. There is life outside of London, and this firm is living proof.

There’s 10 in the tax team right now, which has seen growth year-on-year. The development mind-set of the firm advocates that promotions, salary increases, and general recognition is part of their values. Size doesn’t matter. If you’ve earned the promotion, you’ll get it.

A standout for this team is the Tax Director. They lead by doing, and make sure that you get your fair share of interesting work, with the support of the wider business.

This is a flexible position, which can come in at Semi-Senior, Senior, or Assistant Manager grade.

Study support is on offer for the more junior of grades, and for the others, we’re looking for anyone with practice corporate tax experience, and either the ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification.
