Salary £35,000-42,000pa (negotiable, study support available)

Hugely attractive opportunity to join a privately owned group of technology businesses in the newly created role of Assistant Finance Manager. My client is a group of 6 cutting edge, innovative companies that have received much industry interest. Backed by 3 highly entrepreneurial investors, this position would suit someone interested in the tech space who will be excited by the growth forecasts of these companies. Due to this upcoming growth, there will be ample opportunities for this role to develop and it is expected that this person will become Finance Manager of 1-2 companies when they reach a certain size.

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this individual will oversee the day to day accounts of several businesses within the group as part of a team of 3 in finance.

Duties include:

• Management of day-to-day accounts in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Implement efficient bookkeeping practices and maintain meticulous records
• Manage external expense system
• Preparing accounts for VAT Returns and Companies House submissions
• Creation and processing of invoices and manage accounts receivable
• Manage supplier invoice payments and manage AP process
• Supporting finance team with ad hoc projects and analysis
• Assisting the Group FD with administrative duties
• Updating cashflow forecasts

This role is open to individuals coming from industry or practice. You will come from a varied finance background covering multiple areas of company bookkeeping with excellent attention to detail and self-management skills. You will also have good Excel skills at the strong intermediate level. QuickBooks experience can give an added advantage but isn’t a necessity.
