Assistant Accountant, Burgess Hill, £28,000-£30,000

We’re currently working with a rapidly expanding global business that can offer an evolving and dynamic company environment in which staff quickly develop and flourish. This PE-backed business is undergoing significant positive changes currently, and is very much on the acquisition growth path. This is in turn creating great opportunities within the team, including this newly created vacancy.

This is a highly dynamic team. This role will support the Finance Manager as part of a 6-person finance team.

Role overview:

• Reconciliations on intercompany accounts
• Preparing supplier payment runs
• Reconciliations on cash and bank accounts. Allocating payments and receipts and following up with queries were necessary.
• Keying in supplier invoices
• Ensuring the correct recording of financial transactions
• Assist the Financial Controller to establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with individual country government regulations and legislation
• Review costs and recommended cost reduction opportunities
• Report to senior management with accurate financial information
• Monitor and manage international currency transactions for the company

The successful candidate will:

• Be fully AAT qualified or hold a finance degree
• Have strong Excel skills, ability to work with look ups and pivot tables
• Have experience working with intercompany accounting
• Have experience working with multicurrency
• Be an autonomous self-starter
• Excellent communicator
