State & Local Tax Lead

We’ve partnered with a high-growth tech startup to hire its first State & Local Tax (Sales & Use Tax) Lead.

This is a product-focused opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond traditional tax work and help shape how U.S. Sales & Use Tax is built into a rapidly scaling platform.

What you’ll do:

• Act as the go-to expert for U.S. State & Local Tax, with a focus on Sales & Use Tax
• Partner with Product, Engineering and Customer teams to embed tax into new features and workflows
• Lead taxability, nexus, sourcing and multi-state tax decisions
• Translate complex tax rules into scalable product solutions
• Help shape the tax logic behind the platform as it evolves
• Keep ahead of legislative changes and ensure they’re reflected in the product

This isn’t a traditional advisory or compliance role. You’ll play a key role in defining how U.S. Sales & Use Tax is interpreted, built into the product and delivered to customers as the platform scales.
