Join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation at the forefront of digital marketing campaigns. We’re looking for an Finance assistant to assist the finance function during a period of increased activity. This temporary role offers the opportunity to work on live campaigns and contribute to the success of the business.

The Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team with a range of accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and credit card duties. This position is based in Brighton for a few days per week, with the rest of the time working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle sales ledger duties, including raising invoices on Sage 50 from an in-house system and Dynamics 365.
  • Liaise with Account Managers to ensure accurate invoicing and resolve any queries.
  • Check and ensure correct nominal ledger, project, and VAT codes for invoices.
  • Upload Sage invoices onto Dynamics and send invoices to customers.
  • Manage purchase ledger tasks, such as entering invoices into Auto Entry, coding nominal ledger, project, and VAT codes, and reconciling supplier statements.
  • Prepare payment run invoice lists for approval by Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Verify invoices against project budgets and handle any related queries.
  • Reconcile employee credit card transactions, request receipts, and upload details into Sage.
  • Assist with month-end management account preparation, including downloading nominal ledger accounts from Sage, creating pivot tables, and checking figures against P&L accounts.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a finance support role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 50 and Dynamics 365.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations and basic understanding of financial reporting principles.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
