A common trope in corporate tax is that the high-level work is mainly in London, and time and time again, we push back on this. This firm, in particular, has established a client base with some household names while being based in Essex and retaining all the benefits of a regional firm.

You might wonder what the benefits are? Well, there’s a brilliant balance of having plenty of investment in the tax team, with all the resources to offer the highest quality corporate tax service. It is fair to say that they have the best reputation at this level for corporate tax and regularly win business against the big names. You also wouldn’t be contending with the city commute and will certainly feel the work/life balance that’s not comparable to the larger London-based firms.

What type of work will you be doing?

It’s mainly advisory-based, including tax restructures, transactions, tax planning, tax disputes, and innovation taxes.

For those interested in branching out more, there’s a chance to work on VAT advisory work, but if it’s not of interest, no problem!

This role would suit anyone at the Assistant Manager to Manager level, with corporate tax experience in the professional services sector. ATT or CTA qualification is a must.
