Assistant Accounts Manager

We are partnering with a leading independent chartered accountancy firm in Brighton, East Sussex to hire a qualified accountant to join them as an Assistant Accounts Manager.

This is an interesting opportunity that offers great variety and room for personal development. You will be working closely with partners and managers, gradually taking responsibility for a varied portfolio, giving you exposure to a range of clients and challenges. The firm invests in its people, with a commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a supportive and fun working environment. They are based in spacious modern offices in an easily accessible Brighton location.

The role:

You will be involved all aspects of portfolio management – overseeing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns and company secretarial work, and providing tax planning advice and a range of business support. As an Assistant Accounts Manager you will also be involved in supporting and developing more junior members of the team, and be encouraged to engage in business development for the firm

About You:

• You’ve previously worked within a UK accountancy practice.
• You’re ACA/ACCA (recently) qualified
• You’re proactive, curious, and a great communicator
• You live within commuting distance of Brighton, East Sussex
