James Wilkinson at The South East Local Enterprise Partnership:

The South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) has appointed James Wilkinson to coordinate its new Digital Skills Partnership (DSP).

Jame will act as a link between the project and corporate partners including Google, IBM, Microsoft and local digital SMEs to help support residents and businesses across the area. SELEP is one of three pilot areas for the Department for Digital, Cultural, Media and Sports's (DCMS) Local DSP programme, which aims to create a world leading digital economy. James said: "I am excited to be working with the South East Local Enterprise Partnership to help drive digital skills across the region, alongside the fantastic organisations already doing great things in Kent, Essex, and East Sussex."

Julie Kapsalis at Coast to Capital:

Coast to Capital has announced the appointment of Julie Kapsalis as their new Vice Chair. Julie has a background in economic development and marketing. She was a Director at hte South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and worked on the London 2012 Olympics. Prior to this she worked in consumer marketing and PR.

Julie has been a Board Member at Coast to Capital since 2013 and was appointed Diversity Champion in 2018. Julie is committed to broadening Coast to Capital's approach to diversity including her work on the Rose Review into female entrepreneurship and continuing to champion business growth.

Dr Shona Wardrop at Knill James:

Lewes-based accountancy and business advisory firm Knill James has appointed Dr Shona Wardrop as a Senior Manager in its Audit and Accounts department.

A specialist in charities and education, Shona joins the firm from R.A. Clement Associates and has over 17 years' experience in the sector, including time spent sitting on several charity boards.

Sue Foster, Partner, said: "We are continuing to expand our practice and the range of service we offer. Shona will significantly strengthen our charities and education sector team, enabling clients to reap the benefits of her considerable knowledge and expertise."

Jonathan Buckwell at Developers East Sussex:

Developers East Sussex, the organisation seeking to make a difference by helping to deliver high quality commercial and residential developments across the county, has a new Chair following the appointment of Jonathan Buckwell.

Taking over the role of Chair from Derek Godfrey of Ellis Buidling Contractors, Jonathan commented: "East Sussex shares many of the challenges and opportunities faced by other parts of the South East, notably creating the new homes and community services for the growing population and places for them to work. It is vital that we bring local authorities and the development community together to help foster a better understanding of everybody's role and to support the local economy."

Brigitte Shakespeare at Cognitive Law:

Top Sussex consultancy law firm Cognitive Law continues to expand its Family Law offering with the appointment of consultant solicitor Brigitte Shakespeare.

Brigitte offers friendly, comprehensive and affordable family law advice on all issues arising from the breakdown of a relationship. As a member of Resolution, Brigitte has a non-confrontational approach to resolving the issues faced by her clients. First and foremost Brigitte is mindful of doing everything possible to minimise the impact of the breakdown on any children of the family.

Brigitte's approach ensures that her clients receive professional and appropriate advice at the time they need it the most.

Catherine Lambert at Knill James:

Lewes-based accountancy and business advisory firm Knill James has appointed Catherine Lambeth as part of the continued expansion of the practice. Catherine joins Knill James following four years at Castle Corporate Finance where she specialised in providing lead advisory corporate finance to owner managed businesses.

David Martin, Partner at Knill James, said: "This appointment continues the expansion of our team and boosts the range of services we can offer our clients. With her substantial lead advisory experience, Catherine will be a valuable addition to our growing Corporate Finance team."

Julia Trevett at Rose Media Group:

Rose Media Group celebrated its 15th anniversary in September and the agency is continuing to grow. The latest additino to the team is Julia Trevett who joins as the Group's Chief Copywriter. Julia has extensive experience in creating SEO-friendly content and is also training to be a nutritionist.

Rose Media Group is a PR and digital marketing agency based in Burgess Hill. It was founded by Aneela Rose, whose claim to fame is that she is current World Powerlifting Champion. The Group has ambitious growth plans and is looking to expand in Sussex and Surrey.
