A key hire for a business on the outskirts of Lewes, East Sussex, with the recruitment of a Project Business Partner reporting to the Head of PMO.
Although there’s the requirement for this role on a permanent basis, the client is open to offering the role on an initial six month contract with a view to transfer to a permanent position following the initial period of hire.
As you would guess by the business partnering element of the job title, this is a visible role across the business working with various stakeholders to include the finance and wider project team.
Based in the Project Management Office, you will lead a small team of three to essentially provide centralised commercial support to the business relating to the commercial aspects of larger, complex project activity by providing specific and general financial support ensuring compliance with internal standards, and reducing commercial risk.
A full job specification is available at short notice with selected duties to include:
- Partnering the business to provide commercial support including the development of commercial models
- Responsibility for production, reconciliation and validation of applications for payment to Project Management system data
- Responsibility for managing client invoicing activity
- Regular review of contractual financial information ensuring all data is up to date e.g. rates, tasks, personnel, budgets, POs and client details
- Identification, analysis and assessment of financial risks and opportunities on projects
You will have experience of leading a team, have experience in a PMO or project biased finance role with advanced Excell skills. Not too much to ask for is it?
Ideally you are between contracts or a permanent role and can start without notice but if you are planning ahead, then the client would consider candidates on a one month notice period.
The salary advertised should be seen as a guide with your expectations discussed on application. Due to the rural location, you will need your own transport. Hybrid working, minimum of two days in the office.
