Practice Manager

Location: Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh

£45,000 – £60,000 per annum depending on experience

Are you an experienced practice accountant looking to take on practice management responsibilities with a small and friendly firm? Want to work with genuinely nice people and be rewarded for your efforts?

This is the role for you! Harvey John are working with a wonderful accountancy practice in Chandler’s Ford to recruit a Practice Manager.

Their client base spans various industries and the role will require a willingness to be very hands-on and pro-active in taking on the practice management and building a small portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of your clients’ affairs including year-end accounts preparation under FRS102 section 1a and all tax compliance, both corporate and self-assessment.

Requirements and responsibilities:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or QBE with 7+ years of experience)
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice and a genuine passion for accountancy
  • Knowledge and experience with online accounting packages
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations for small businesses and SMEs
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivate and work well as part of a team
  • The drive to grow your own portfolio and contribute to the success of the overall firm
  • Taking a proactive approach to identifying and resolving any issues
  • Workflow planning and overall management of day-to-day business activities
  • Practice management responsibilities including leading billing and WIP reviews, insurance arrangements, team matters and other adhoc matters as required
