Management Accountant l Brighton (staff parking available)

Salary £40,000-50,000 (study support available)

Our client is an entrepreneurial, privately owned group of companies based in Brighton. They’re currently going through an exciting phase of expansion and reinvestment which has created the need for an additional permanent member of the finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director as part of a small team, this individual will be tasked with:

• Preparing quarterly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensuring HMRC submissions are compliant and completed on time.
• Improving and streamlining financial reporting processes.
• Collaborating with department heads to optimise cost control and profitability.
• Supporting year-end audits and liaising with external auditors.
• Providing financial analysis for various ad hoc projects.
• Offering support and guidance to non-finance colleagues.
• Working closely with the Finance Director to improve processes and business partnering offerings.

This role would suit an individual who is currently tasked with full management reporting duties, ideally in an SME setting. Someone detail orientated, technically astute, and quick to learn. You will be a proactive individual who shows initiative and enjoys driving positive improvements. You will have a keen interest in business and be very commercially minded. Part or fully qualified candidates would be our client’s preference, but they will also consider QBE professionals.
