Legal Counsel

A global organisation based in Surrey is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their central legal function on a six month fixed term contract.

Your role

You will be joining a busy team providing contract and commercial related legal services to the UK and European offices, its subsidiaries as well as international offices.

You will be a key support in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements such as master service agreements, non-disclosure agreements and intercompany finance related agreements.

As a crucial member of the team, you will be working closely with the Assistant Head and Head of Legal as well as having responsibility for managing a Paralegal within the team.

Who are you?

You will be working as a Solicitor (UK qualified) and will likely have circa 4-5 year PQE, although more or less experience will be considered. You will have solid experience handling a range of commercial agreements as well as contract negotiation.

In-house experience would be preferred however if you are working within a City firm or large regional firm and keen to work in-house, this could be a great opportunity to make that step into in-house

To be successful in this position, you will be expected to be pragmatic in your thinking, an excellent communicator, detail focused and culturally aware and be able to explain legal issues in clear terms that are easily understood.
