Our client is a rapidly expanding, highly prominent business in the insurance sector. They’re currently seeking an investment professional to take a key role in investment risk management and reporting for the group. This is a newly created, growth-driven opportunity which itself has ample opportunity for future progression. This brand new investment function is growing quickly and manages an investment portfolio of several billion.

This new role follows a period of sustained growth, multiple acquisitions, and industry recognition which has healthily continued for the past 2-3 years. Role Description:

  • To support the CIO in the operations of the investment function
  • Maintenance of Investment Accounting, data integrity
  • Responsible for daily reconciliations, accuracy of investment data
  • Review and report daily cash balances
  • Monitor compliance of the investment portfolio with limits & guidelines
  • Reporting investment performance to various audiences
  • Directly Interact with finance & treasury on investment matters
  • Book trades and transfers as necessary on custody portals
  • Ensure holdings accurately reflects the company’s investment portfolios
  • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly investment income reporting
  • Investment reporting for Exco/Local Boards/Group Investment Committee
  • Monitor investment compliance with investment guidelines and risk appetite
  • Ensure collateral arrangements are compliant
  • Work closely with finance and treasury on investment related matters
  • Ensure monthly valuations/PnL are accurate
  • Assist treasury with cash management/liquidity needs
  • Assist other functions (eg risk, internal audit, legal) on investment related matters
  • Support on CIO on various projects & workstreams as required
  • Assist with reporting & presentations as required
  • Improve knowledge of financial markets, investment themes, regulatory developments
