Permanent, Full Time, £55,000-65,000 per annum

An award-winning, highly entrepreneurial business based in central Brighton is seeking a Finance Manager to lead their finance function managing 2 direct reports. This individual will work closely with the CEO and leadership team in ensuring effective financial control and reporting for the business and play an integral part in the commercial decision-making process. This is a vibrant, interesting business with an attractive consumer offering that many individuals will feel passionately about. It’s experiencing strong year-on-year growth and is highly recognised within the industry.

You will manage a variety of duties including full management and statutory accounts production and analysis for the CEO. As this is a small team, you will also be tasked with overseeing day-to-day transactional accounting duties, pulling upon assistance from the Finance Assistants, and delegating accordingly. This business has complex billing timescales and an internal database which is integrated into the accounts system. This individual must be someone who learns quickly and understands the importance of really getting to know a business ‘from the bottom up’. This hands-on individual will become an expert on their product and operating procedures and be adept at effective time management, prioritisation, and attention to detail. You will also be comfortable liaising at the senior level and providing commercial insight and recommendations.

Candidates need to have relevant experience in a similar, all-encompassing Finance Manager role and be confident in their level of technical accounting abilities. This experience will have been built within an SME environment. You will also have previously managed staff.
