Finance Director

This is a superb opportunity for an established “number 1” to join an excellent business based in the Crawley area.

This role would suit either an established Finance Director looking for their next challenge or it may favour a Head of Finance/ Financial Controller, now looking to step into a Finance Director role.

You will be a dynamic and qualified accountant, with an eye for improving systems and processes but you will also be a hands on individual, comfortable with getting involved in “the detail” as well as more complex accounting matters.

Key duties will include…

• Financial planning analysis
• Getting involved in tenders
• Preparing statutory accounts and Tax
• Overseeing the finance team (of 6) on day-to-day accounting matters
• Driving improvements to existing systems and processes

The ideal candidate for this role, will…

• Be ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified, with significant post-qualified experience
• Have substantial leadership and people management skills- you will have ideally led a similar sized finance team previously and have operated as a “number 1” in finance before
• Have excellent communication skills and be confident liaising with a variety of stakeholders
• Be a “hands on” individual and be comfortable getting involved in more routine accounting tasks, as well as overseeing complex accounting matters
• Possess dynamism and be comfortable driving improvements to existing systems and processes
• Have experience working within complex and fast-changing businesses
• Be willing to work on-site in Crawley 5 days per week- there may be the occasional opportunity to work from home, but this is an “on-site” role
