My client is an award-winning, dynamic, and highly commercial business based in Ashington. They’re seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join them in a newly created role. Several impressive years of growth mean this individual will be joining at a very exciting time and will quickly become an integral part of their collaborative finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed finance professional who’s looking to fully utilise and develop their accounting skills in a modern, fast-paced environment. The role is a broad role covering purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, supplier payments, bank recs and month end assistance. There is plenty of scope for this role to expand as the company continues to grow and the Finance Manager is looking for a someone who would be keen to take on additional tasks in the future.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be experienced across SL & PL duties
• Have a can-do attitude towards their work
• Be well organised and have a keen eye for detail
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Able to prioritise and use initiative
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Excellent written and communication skills
