Credit Controller

An expanding and highly entrepreneurial Hove based organisation is currently seeking a Credit Controller to join their finance function. This person will work closely alongside an experienced Finance Manager, as part of a small team, in a diverse and engaging role in which they will take ownership of this area of finance.

This organisation is experiencing excellent year on year growth and re-investing heavily in the business. Their continued success has enabled them to diversify into new areas over the last 12 months and they have many exciting business development plans ahead. This role would suit a confident self-starter who has excellent communication skills (written and verbal), a can-do attitude, and excellent attention to detail.

Duties to include but not be limited to:

  • Contacting customers by telephone and email to chase payment for invoices
  • Liaising between with customers and third party finance providers to provide excellent service.
  • Maintain aged debt at appropriate levels
  • Actively reduce default rate
  • Purchase Orders management to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Monitoring customer accounts and ensuring they are reconciled in a timely fashion
  • Cash allocation
  • Dealing with internal and external queries
  • Daily payment run
  • Ad hoc duties as required
