Contracts & Commercial Manager

Are you a Contracts & Commercial Manager looking to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking SME that specialises in environmental and sustainability consultancy services? As a newly qualified B Corp with a strong focus on ecology and environmental preservation, they are dedicated to making a positive impact within the scope of infrastructure projects.

This is a newly created role, so it’s key that you are a self-starter. In becoming a vital member of their senior team, your expertise will be instrumental in this company’s aim of bringing contract management in-house.

The role will include:

Contract Advisory: leading, as well as guiding others, with contract negotiations; third party contract reviews, identifying red flags; and managing the financial aspects of contracts.

Contract Management and Training: You will empower team members to confidently handle contract-related matters by providing them with training and guidance on contracts and financial aspects.

Review and Maintenance: Conduct periodic reviews on the company’s own terms and conditions to ensure they remain effective.

Commercial Expertise: Collaborate with the leadership team to formulate a pricing strategy and provide guidance on pricing for their projects. Your role will be commercially driven, and your insights will be invaluable in strategic decision-making.

Ideally, you will have:

• Solid contract management experience
• An understanding of NEC contracts
• Good commercial acumen
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to train and educate team members
• A Quantity Surveying or Legal background will be considered
