Salary circa £25,000-28,000 + 20% annual bonus

A leading international insurance firm with Headquarters in Brighton is looking for a conscientious and hardworking individual to join them in a newly created, growth driven Bordereaux Associate role. Reporting directly to the Internal Broking Team Leader, this person will join a very friendly and supportive large team and be given full training on the internal workings of an internal broking department.

My client is happy to consider junior level individuals who haven’t worked in the insurance sector previously. This could provide the start of an exciting new career journey for the successful individual in which full training and support will be given. There are several avenues via which this person can progress within this area of specialism in the future.

Overview of role:

  • Monitor bordereaux tracking report to establish status of bordereaux
  • Examine slip and understand how syndicate has placed their stamp
  • Determine which bordereaux need mapping and uploading to VIPR
  • Retrieve bordereaux from 3rd party repositories
  • Reconcile and map incoming bordereaux to the business
  • Effectively manage workload and time management over 6 portfolios
  • Follow quality control guidelines throughout bordereaux management process
  • Adhere to the escalation process for all bordereaux queries
  • Raise all appropriate queries where further information is required. Ensure all
  • queries/issues are logged and raised to Delegated Authority team.
  • Maintain knowledge of market issues
  • Comply with all internal controls and procedures
  • Complete and report on ad hoc projects/tasks allocated by senior management.
  • To attend and present weekly updates to management around bordereaux management status for various syndicates and classes of business
  • Provide assistance with any Solvency II related activities as requested or required.
  • Maintain an understanding of and comply with all relevant FCA/PRA/Lloyds regulatory requirements. Keep abreast of developments and changes
