Our client is a flourishing fashion apparel business in the heart of the city that is experiencing excellent year-on-year growth and driving the company towards their next phase of expansion. This dynamic and innovative business is seeking an Assistant Accountant to work closely with the Finance Director in managing the finance function effectively and providing meaningful reports and analysis to aid commercial business decisions.

Role overview:

• Weekly payment runs (banking using online systems, multi-currency)
• Purchase Ledger – ensure all purchasing is approved, matched with POs, coded correctly and ensure that any required rebilling is timely and accurate
• Sales Ledger – shared responsibility with the Sales Manager
• All postings to SL & PL
• Credit and debit card reconciliations
• Nominal Ledger control accounts – Bank, Salaries, VAT etc
• Supporting the FD with all aspects of reporting – P&L, BS, quarterly royalty reporting
• Supporting the Sales Manager across financial transactions
• Financial analysis to aid in commercial decision-making
