Approvals Executive – Fashion ,Brighton

We’re working with a leading designer and developer of licensed brand merchandise and apparel. This flourishing fashion business in the heart of the city is experiencing excellent year on year growth and driving the business towards their next phase of expansion. This is a contemporary and ‘quirky’ company with a friendly, lively, and highly collaborative office.

This new role has arisen due to a centralisation of the licensing & approvals function to the Brighton head office. You will join a team of 3 in a busy, autonomous role offering good prospects for career development and progression.

The key responsibilities of the role include day-to-day contact with Licensors; responding promptly to communications and taking appropriate actions to ensure all needs are met; completion of documentation and system data entry; logging retail selections on PA’s own system and following them through to completion of the approval process; ensuring all samples are followed up with the licensor and, where not approved, gaining feedback on the reason for future approvals and actioning same.

You will also be expected to:
  • Cover all aspects of the approval process – from design concept through to delivery of product in store
  • To assist design, sales and merchandising teams, submitting concepts and samples to licensors and tracking any resubmits with factories
  • Liaise with factories and merchandising teams to ensure prompt delivery of both pre-production and production samples.
  • Coordinate Licensor style guides.
  • Update key release calendars, and various other key documents.
  • Liaising with sales to provide forecasts to current licensors and brand owners.
  • Maintaining updated and accurate design and approvals trackers.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with licensors.
  • Upkeep of sample stock room and showrooms.
  • Checking files/concepts ensuring they are suitable for approval.

Our client is ideally looking for an individual from a licensing / approvals / product management background with relevant experience. You must have experience of delivering in a fast-paced environment working to short lead times and be an accomplished organiser who can manage multiple tasks working to deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
