Meet the team previous

David Waddell
David is a founding partner and Director at Harvey John and established the company in 2004 with Stephen Barham after experience at two industry leaders. David oversees the accountancy division within the business and also personally sources talent for senior finance commercial roles as well as working with a portfolio of clients within the accountancy profession.

He is driven by ensuring that Harvey John continues to offer a high level of service to all clients and candidates, a learning and development environment for the Harvey John team and forging new relationships whilst not taking established ones for granted. He describes himself as immensely proud of what the business has achieved so far and excited about what the future holds.

Despite being an avid fan and season ticket holder at Brighton and Hove Albion, an experienced traveller to over 40 countries and a music lover, time away from the office is mostly spent entertaining his twins!

Georgina Trudgill
Georgina joined Harvey John in 2010, after graduating from Cass Business School in London. Her degree sparked a keen interest in the business world, particularly around people management and employee relations. This pointed her in the direction of recruitment and she has yet to look back!

Keen to flee the City, George moved to Brighton and joined the established accountancy and finance desk in a role focused on junior to mid-level industry recruitment where she has built a solid reputation and has progressed to Senior and then Principal Consultant roles. With some practical finance experience under her belt and a focus on financial modules throughout Uni, it seemed like the logical sector and one which she thoroughly enjoys.

Outside of work, George will most likely be found down the beach with friends or at home painting, sketching, or making something new to clutter the house with! Or as some may say… Just generally making a mess!

Tia Barham
Following her graduation in Media Studies, Tia worked for two multinational recruitment companies before joining David and Stephen at Harvey John shortly after its inception in 2004 with the vision of delivering a market leading recruitment service providing both clients and candidates with a truly professional experience.

Tia is not only part of the management team but also responsible for placing qualified accountants- something that she has been doing for the last 13 years..... but still loving it!

When Tia isn’t at work she is busy running around after her two children and spends the little free time she has riding, running, trampolining and more recently entering triathlons and obstacle races. She does remember to have fun sometimes though and enjoys pub meals, cider and festivals.

Stephen Barham
Stephen is a founding Director at Harvey John, and currently leads the interim/contract and temporary division combining his depth of knowledge of this market and his sector knowledge in Human Resources and Accountancy/Finance recruitment.

Stephen has been the driving force behind Harvey John’s learning culture ensuring the business’ internal talent is focused on successful behaviours that drive performance. It’s a passion that culminated in the business coming a close runner up in the Gatwick Diamond 2014 Award ‘Developing People for Business Success’ and a finalist in Business Acumen Award 2014.

Stephen’s approach focuses on keeping relationships at the centre of everything he does whilst embracing the ever changing world of recruitment technology as a way to be more productive and provide exceptional service.

Outside of work Stephen loves the outdoors, in particular golf, tennis and getting out and about with his family.

Megan Cox
After graduating from the University of Kent in June 2013 with a 1st class degree in Psychology, Megan realised she wanted a role where she could work closely with people and build enduring relationships in a company that is passionate about personal development. She joined Harvey John straight from university and is responsible for sourcing both Human Resources and Finance professionals for temporary/interim roles. She takes the time to make sure she knows exactly what the client is looking for before using her sourcing skills to find the right talent for the opportunity.
When not at work, Megan enjoys taking part in athletics whilst training for the marathon, spending time with family and friends and, if the sun stays out long enough, having BBQ's on the beach!

Joe Shelton
Joe is a Recruitment Consultant at Harvey John, working within the HR division. After graduating from Brighton University with a degree in Historical & Cultural Studies, it was the human interaction elements of recruitment that drew Joe into the recruitment profession.

After cutting his teeth on recruiting into the compliance sector within financial services, he joined Harvey John in 2011 as a consultant within the HR division and has successfully forged b relationships with candidates and clients alike.

When not working you will find Joe either off to gigs in the local area
or the big smoke, supporting the beautiful game (the team shall remain nameless) or on his travels exploring.

Natasha Allahiary
After graduating from the University of Brighton with a 2.1 in Applied Psychology and Criminology in June 2012, Tasha began her recruitment career working as a Resourcer in the IT sector and moved to Harvey John in April 2014 after realising she wanted to specialise in Human Resources.
With a mixture of experience in recruitment, sales and customer service she can easily adapt to any situation and meet deadlines.

She is responsible for sourcing candidates for all HR roles, taking the time to clearly understand the client’s requirements to ensure the most suitable candidates are found. Tasha also assists with corporate marketing.

When not at work, Tasha loves spending time with her friends and family, going on lots of holidays and enjoying classes at the gym.

Stephanie Farr
Stephanie is a Senior Consultant and responsible for the Legal Division at Harvey John.

Raised in Sussex, Stephanie read History at the University of Sussex, before embarking on her career with Harvey John in 2008. She has built the legal division from its infancy and now works closely with Hayley and the resourcing team on private practice and in-house roles. Stephanie prides herself on providing honest, candid advice and endeavours to challenge expectation with a high standard of care for both clients and candidates.

Understanding that each placement is a huge commitment for all involved, she puts equal emphasis on finding candidates with the right skills and experience, as well as carefully considering their personality and the overall team fit.

Outside of the office, Stephanie enjoys village life and running around after her two small children; Beatrice and Toby.

Hayley Rose
Hayley joined Harvey John as a Consultant in the Legal Division in 2013 responsible for legal roles from paralegal through to partner / general counsel across all practice areas.

A qualified solicitor, she specialised in Commercial Dispute Resolution working for two large regional firms before deciding upon a career in legal recruitment.

Hayley works closely with candidates and clients, building b relationships in order fully understand their requirements; and to ensure that at the end of the process the candidate finds their perfect role and the client finds the candidate that complements the team and fits their technical requirements.
Outside of work Hayley’s life revolves around her twins, Jack and Tilly, so time is often spent with a trip to a park, farm or the beach.

Becky Sharp
After spending many happy years in the travel industry, Becky moved into recruitment where she has successfully worked with SMEs, blue-chip and FTSE100 companies for over eight years. She joined Harvey John in 2012 and has been an integral part of establishing the marketing division.

A keen networker with a passion for hosting her own events, Becky has successfully driven inspiring client forums based around Social Media, Leadership and Talent. Becky is keen to be an expert within marketing, so can often be found at marketing seminars and conferences.

When not at work, Becky practises yoga and enjoys a good BBQ on the beach!
