Part Time Payroll Officer

A well known and esteemed local business, that has a notably positive impact in the Brighton & Hove area, is looking to expand their payroll function. My client needs initial temporary cover for a period of circa 1-2 months, but there are also plans to recruit a part time Payroll Officer on a permanent basis to support growing workload. The successful candidate can choose whether or not they want to be considered for the permanent post at a later date. This will be a rewarding opportunity for an individual with sound payroll processing knowledge to provide valuable support to a friendly and welcoming Finance and HR team.

You will be processing and reconciling the monthly payroll, ensuring all information is accurate before being passed to an external bureau (i.e. starters, leavers, SMP, SSP, changes of details, etc). In addition, you will be ensuring timesheets are correct, and data inputting monthly reports for lottery, pension schemes, dealing with various payroll queries etc.

Ideally you will have previous experience in payroll and pension administration, and have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word.
