Group Financial Controller, West Sussex. Harvey John is looking to attract an applicant to work for a leading global business based in West Sussex. This is a new opportunity to lead and manage teams of qualified and part qualified staff locally as well as managing relationships across the globe.

Key responsibilities will be to manage the preparation of the groups accounts and budgets, with specific responsibility for the activities of the consolidation team as well as the analysis, forecasting and reporting team; to act as the key interface between global head office finance team and the business units in the preparation and interpretation of all finance information.

Responsibilities and key tasks will include to redesign of the groups monthly management accounts and the group consolidation and reporting process; improve the quality of analysis and commentary; lead and support the Business Units and overseas subsidiaries on meeting reporting requirements; lead the preparation of the annual statutory accounts from consolidation through to publication and the consolidation budget; provide financial guidance to overseas subsidiaries; line management of the teams and managers covering consolidation, analysis, forecasting and reporting; liaison with external auditors and the parent company to meet requirements for financial information.

Applicants should be qualified ACCA/ACMA or ACA with a number of years post qualification experience to include implementation of change and improvement of reporting processes, IFRS, staff management, consolidation and global budgeting within a large multi-national. Applicants should have strong communication skills with the ability to operate at all levels.
