Assistant Underwriter, Bromley, Kent. Harvey John legal recruitment is working with a an international insurance provider who are looking to recruit an assistant underwriter for their Bromley office.
The position is suitable for recent graduates and is responsible for providing full administration support to the underwriting team, responding to telephone enquiries, liaising with other departments in a processional and effective way, and ensure queries are dealt with in a timely and customer focused manor. You will also be responsible for drafting and issuing straight forward policies and liaising with clients to make appropriate recommendations on the range of products.
You will use effective organisational and communication skills to resolve routine problems and know when to escalate more complex issues. In addition you will perform other related support duties such as producing accurate reports for management and carrying out general administration tasks to prescribed standards, for example dealing with incoming and outgoing post, scanning, photocopying, stationery and keeping internal systems up to date.
A legal degree is essential, preferably with a property related module. Another language would also be an advantage. Above all, to be successful in this fantastic role you will need to show enthusiasm, flexibility and a positive working attitude.
