Trainee Accountant, Orpington, Kent. Harvey John accountancy recruitment is assisting an Orpington based firm of accountants with the recruitment of a top graduate to become a new Trainee Accountant at the firm.
The role requires a bright and enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn a variety of skills whilst working in a busy environment. They will need to be consistently well organised, communicative, dependable and reliable as well as able to prioritise all tasks which crop up daily. A successful candidate will have a minimum of a 2:1 degree and have previously obtained good A levels and GCSEs.
The job holder will have the opportunity to learn a range of skills relating to our accounting and tax practice. The firm is happy to provide study support towards the AAT qualification.
Duties will include:
- The preparation of simple statutory accounts and corporation tax self-assessment returns
- VAT compliance work
- Liaising with overseas clients
- Day to day record keeping for special purpose client companies engaged in international ventures
