German Speaking Accounts Assistant, Brighton, East Sussex. Harvey John is currently looking for a German speaking accounts professional to join an international outsourcing company based in central Brighton. This role will involve working as part of a team of within the accounts division who all report directly to the Head of Accounts.
Main responsibilities will include to process client activity information; complete and submit VAT & IPT returns; complete and submit EC Sales List and Intrastate reports; improve existing procedures and develop guidelines for return processing; complete VAT registrations; additional country work, e g credits; liaise with tax authorities and partner offices on technical issues. All these duties will be in relation to Germany based client accounts.
Candidates will be fluent in German and ideally also have sound accounting knowledge. VAT experience specifically is not required. It would be advantageous for applicants to have additional European language skills apart from German.
